Dark Side of Bazaar
In anticipation of his retrospective at New York's Museum of Modern Art, filmmaker Tim Burton re-imagines the season's dark delights.
Harper’s Bazaar US unveils for the occasion a photo session directed by Tim Burton himself, celebrating the dark, cynic and fantastic universe of the filmmaker/producter/writer.
Perfect costume inspiration for the upcoming Halloween celebration. The ones features are actually McQueen and Givenchy gowns to name of few but it gives you the right opportunity to practice your DIY skills. I’m not a huge fan of Halloween myself but that’s personal… however i just love Burton dark world!
Happy Halloween!

Creatures of the Future
Alexander McQueen - SS2010 Fashion Show
A demain
The controversial McQueen is known for provoking emotional reactions shows. His latest one of them - transcendant - like a big-budget movie production, light, moving cameras, video projection...
The theme: Evolution of humankind...
It is not the first time that the designer influences are based on existential question; SS2009 show: the runway was backed by a video projection of revolving Earth. Hummm a designer with an environmental conscience???
Okay imagine the whole scenario; a video projection on big screen of a naked model (Raquel Zimmermann) lying down, covered by snakes moving across her body - then a first hybrid model appeared on the catwalk mi-human mi-alien.
.
The press release said: "McQueen was casting an apocalyptic forecast of the future ecological meltdown of the world: Humankind is made up of creatures that evolved from the sea, and we may be heading back to an underwater future as the ice cap dissolves."
A cyberspace where human race would be transgened with reptil, wearing graphic skin design dresses with enormous shoes and dorsale fin made of hair enlace on the scalp.... Creatures of an apocalyptic aquatic future?
Hummm i don't know what scares me the most, a world with human looking like sea monster or ever have to wear those hideous shoes......

Night of Fashion at Dior
Dior Fall09 Fashion Show, Dubai
Yesterday evening, the house of Dior brought on their way back from Paris Fashion Week a glimpse of French elegance and chic, embodies by the creation of John Galliano for the French couture house.
At the newly opened Dior Boutique (mini-version-of-flagship-Avenue Montaigne Paris) at Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue, around 26 looks of the Fall 09 and Resort 2010 Ready-To-Wear collection were presented – already earlier this year Fall Couture collection were taken back to the grey salons of Christian Dior in Avenue Montaigne to show almost in the way the clothes were traditionally presented to clients and press in the 50’s.
In the same spirit, I felt yesterday, for the first time in Dubai, attending a mini-show in a way many Couture labels in Paris, NYC or London do it all year long – intimate presentation in the boutique salons of key season looks to VIP, press and buyers.
Evening and chiffon cocktail dresses, oriental-embroidered tunic, floral prints, draped harem pants, East Asia influence – Mitza Bricard (Dior’s long time muse) favorite-Leopard-pattern-pencil skirt suits and dresses looks - Retro modern looking just effortlessly gorgeous.
Spotted front row some glam and casual chic!
Me & my friend Kawtar front row - love her Cavalli for H&M leopard rolled-up sleeves!
